During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China's industrial gas industry will seize the opportunity of the national push for supply-side structural reforms, focusing on "reducing excess capacity, removing outdated capacity, reducing leverage, lowering costs, and filling shortfalls" to further optimize industrial layout, significantly enhance core industrial competitiveness, and promote green transformation and development to achieve an overall leap in the industry. This information was obtained from the 26th Member Representatives Conference of the China Industrial Gas Industry Association and the Symposium on the Transformation of the Gas Industry and Reform of the Industry Management System, held in Yinchuan, Ningxia from September 7th to 10th, as reported by the China Chemical Reporter.
Du Jun, chairman of the China Industrial Gas Industry Association, stated that with the surge in demand from emerging application areas such as energy, environmental protection, medical, LED, photovoltaic solar energy, and liquid crystal display manufacturing, China's gas demand is expected to maintain considerable growth during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, with the gas market expected to maintain an average annual growth rate of around 10%, reaching a market size of approximately 120 billion yuan by 2017. The national efforts to promote supply-side structural reforms during the 13th Five-Year Plan period have created a rare opportunity for the Chinese gas industry to reach a new level.
