◆Properties：
Colorless monoclinic flaky or columnar crystals, specific gravity 1.305, melting point 149.6℃. It is easily soluble in water, ethanol, liquid ammonia, acetone, pyridine and liquid sulfur dioxide. The aqueous solution shows blood red color with iron salt solution, but no reaction with ferrous solution. When heated to about 140℃, it forms thiourea, and decomposes into ammonia, carbon disulfide and hydrogen sulfide at 176℃.
◆Applications：
Used in the manufacture of rice pesticides such as Piproctanyl, Kasugamycin, Kasugamycin sulfate, Validamycin, Pirimicarb, Tricyclazole, and synthetic raw materials such as thiocyaniline, thiocyanate powder, and dinitrosan. It is also used as an auxiliary raw material for the manufacture of hydrogen peroxide, dyes, and polymerization catalysts for organic synthesis. Used as raw materials for cyanides, ferrocyanides and thiourea, as well as a flocculant for coating printing in textile dyeing, a developer for steam printing, and a rust inhibitor for zinc-coated primers, an adhesive for rare metals, and also used in analytical reagents and photography.
